Description
The Process Chemist will be involved in leading innovation and will principally focus on synthesis development of cosmetic esters.
Requirements
Process Chemist Duties & Responsibilities
Organic process research and development towards the synthesis of new cosmetic esters and new chemical entities
Trouble Shooting: Diagnosing and resolving issues that arise during process trials, including identifying root causes of process deviations and proposing solutions.
Conduct bench chemistry using wet chemistry and analytical instruments.
Compilation of Process Reports: Designing, planning and conducting experiments for process development and optimization.
Ability to design meaningful experiments and in depth analysis of results
Conduct routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure quality and consistency.
Risk assessment: provide safe, healthy working conditions, supported by laboratory systems
Classical chemical sample preparation and analytical titration
Able to work independently with a team to meet strict deadlines
Ability to learn quickly and adapt analytical techniques to the needs of the business
Provide timely and accurate estimate for lab scale experiments
Takes leadership role in technical reporting
Ability to effectively perform literature searches
Communicate the progress and exchanges with various stakeholders: technical marketing, customer program management, Intellectual Property team, scale-up team
Participate in multi-functional project teams
Possesses good communication skills, both written and oral skills
Design of synthetic routes that can be scaled up for large scale synthesis
Hands on experience with appropriate instrumentation and control equipment Scale up & safety
